At the FRIKE GROUP, we stir, mix and produce around 2500 bulks a year in our own mixing vessels for national and international customers. Our bulk production system for the cosmetics sector is geared towards a wide variety of galenic forms, enabling us to meet all your product requirements.

Bulk production of creams, gels, powders and more

We are known for our optimum flexibility in the bulk production of cosmetics. Our processing systems are specially designed for a wide range of batch sizes, product types and consistencies. Our production set-up enables us to manufacture liquid, semi-solid and solid forms and powders in cold and hot production. Thanks to fast machine conversion times, we can also offer fully automated processes for small to medium-sized series at reasonable prices.

  • Bulk production of creams, emulsions, gels, solutions, oils, serums and waxes in cold and hot production with maximum flexibility in batch sizes: We process batches of light creams and lotions from 15 kg up to 2 tons and batches of medium to thick emulsions, oils and waxes from 15 kg up to 5 tons.
  • Bulk production of powders and pastes in cold and hot production with maximum flexibility in batch sizes: We process batches from 15 kg up to 500 kg.
  • Explosion protection zone: We offer a production area with explosion protection for the processing of flammable liquids up to 5 tons.
  • Weighing and sampling of all components in a protection zone: controlled conditions including traceable scanner entries and dual control principle
  • Fully automatic process mixers of all kinds with different temperature ranges, pressure ratios, stirring speeds, homogenization times and two vessels for the oil and water phase with filling volumes of 100 L, 400 L and up to 2 tons.
  • Fully automatic mixers for various degrees of viscosity up to 5 tons with explosion protection.
  • Storage containers of up to 15 tons for storing the required raw materials.
  • Tank with a filling volume of 10 tons for storing the mixed bulk until filling.
  • Pharmaceutical-grade water produced by the FRIKE GROUP and used for all bulks. 

Precise controls in the bulk production of cosmetics

Quality controls are carried out throughout the entire bulk production process for cosmetics. Starting with the inspection of raw materials and packaging materials through to the monitoring of the manufactured raw material and the filled end product, we use predefined parameters to check whether the defined specifications are met. Our in-house laboratory for development and quality control ensures that strict guidelines are adhered to in order to safeguard product parameters. We set specific standards for color, odor, pH value, density, texture and viscosity to guarantee that your pharmaceutical product is of consistently high quality. A variety of tests, including microbiological, dermatological and epicutaneous tests, are carried out either directly by us or at external laboratories.

Technology transfer and scale-ups for rapid product availability

We are known for our efforts to achieve the shortest possible time-to-market, together with maximum efficiency and flexibility in the in-house bulk production and filling of cosmetic products. Technology transfer of your cosmetic formulations is carried out quickly in production and in the laboratory, with the full range of validation processes. Thanks to our 80 years of expertise in cosmetics production and our additional prowess in pharmaceutical manufacturing, we can also handle challenging scale-ups of your formulations in a short space of time. Our Development department has the right equipment for scale-ups of all kinds.
