The FRIKE GROUP’s commitment to the environment

At the FRIKE GROUP, we attach great importance to sustainability. This applies in equal measure to our company and to the solutions we develop for our customers. In view of the legal requirements and the growing awareness of the need for sustainability and environmental protection among many end customers, it often makes sense to incorporate these considerations into product development and other processes such as packaging design. We would be happy to advise you on sustainable options and show you their added potential.

2024 Certificate from the Energy Agency for Industry (EnAW)

The Frike Group is on board! The Frike Group has been a member of the Energy Agency for Industry since 2015 and is committed to economic climate protection. Find out more about the Frike Group’s commitment and achievements. The Frike Group is involved in the following EnAW initiatives: In a target agreement, the company has committed to targets for increasing energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gases. These targets will be implemented in a measure-focused approach over ten years, with target achievement reviewed annually.

FRIKE GROUP target: 40% CO2-reduced production by 2025 compared to the reference year 2017

By 2025, the FRIKE GROUP is aiming to reduce CO2 emissions by 40%. We have already been able to continuously reduce CO2 emissions by 31% since 2017. In this context, we recently installed a solar system on the roof of our site in Ebnat-Kappel. There, 675 PV modules on an area of around 1500 m2 generate an annual average of around 300,000 kWh of electricity. In a further step, we are now examining the more intensive use of solar energy at additional locations to bring us closer to our ambitious target step by step. Another solar roof is planned in Wetzikon from 2026. To keep environmental emissions as low as possible, we are constantly switching from fossil steam to electric steam.

The FRIKE GROUP supports the Responsible Care program

The FRIKE GROUP actively participates in the global Responsible Care program. This program is a global chemical and pharmaceutical industry initiative that promotes the safe handling of chemical products throughout their life cycle and emphasizes their contribution to improving quality of life and sustainable development. As part of this self-commitment initiative, the FRIKE GROUP supports the scienceindustries principles, which encapsulate the global guidelines of Responsible Care. As a result, the FRIKE GROUP is committed to high standards in the areas of safety, health and environmental protection, promotes open dialog with interest groups, and focuses on responsible product design throughout the entire life cycle.
